Reunited . . . and It Feels So Good!

Pups post-grooming photo op!

After Maddie and Teddy’s date at Fabulous Fur Grooming, the pair seems to have worked out their differences. As you can see from the above photo, both are looking fine and fabulous, and I’m sure they feel the same way. Doesn’t everyone like to be nice and clean? “Nice and clean” was one of my grandmother’s favorite phrases. She liked everything to be nice and clean. When I asked her a question as she was nearing the end of her life, if she had any regrets, she told me that she wished she had spent LESS time cleaning and MORE time playing with her children. Suffice it to say that I have taken that sage advice to heart. Just ask anyone who has seen my home office! I would include a photo here, but I don’t want y’all to think any less of me!

Dressed in their outdoor finery and ready to walk!

It was a little chilly this week in New England (it even SNOWED), so the dogs donned their fashionable outerwear for their midday walk. You can tell by their body language how ready they are to get their walk on! And Ted, ever the gentleman, lets her lead the way.

Did you even know that dogs could spoon?

After their midday walk, it was time for the evening snooze. Ted likes to multi-task, so he’s all about snoozing while keeping watch on the neighborhood. He’s a very efficient pooch (probably learned that from his mom . . . haha). But would you just look at their body language here? Ted has basically cradled her so she won’t fall off of their perch patrol on the back of the LOVESEAT! She’s not as familiar with the mechanics of the rocker-recliner LOVEseat, so Ted, the consummate gentleman, ensures she feels safe and comfortable as they keep watch on the ‘hood while they snooze. Have you ever seen such a thoughtful dog? Each day brings me a new reason to be proud of that special little guy.

Do you think these pups look comfortable here?

After a restful night of doggy spooning, this is what I woke up to in my bed — two upside-down pups just waiting for belly rubs. I mean, really . . . can you get any cuter than this? Talk about bookends. They are ridiculous — ridiculously cute, that is!

I took a tip from Ted, the highly efficient multi-tasker, and proceeded to rub BOTH bellies at the SAME TIME. Impressed, right? I know.Β  Hey, I learned from the best.

Stay tuned for the next blog post featuring Maddie’s first visit as a therapy-dog-in-training!

With much, much puppy love,

Ted’s Mom, Maddie & Teddy
