Some dogs are possessive of their bones; Ted is possessive of socks. He views them as treasured possessions for which he worked hard to obtain. When doing laundry, he lurks in the corners of the room, hoping to catch an errant sock from the bed where I am folding clothes.
Part of my husband’s nightly ritual is to remove his socks in the living room . . . big mistake. Ted is there waiting, and good luck to my husband at trying to pry them from Ted’s growling muzzle. No way!
When desperate for a sock fix, he will saunter into my daughter’s room and remove them right from her laundry bin.
If he can nab them from the bathroom floor when someone is taking a shower, then he will take that opportunity and literally RUN with it!
He’s a smart pup though. He will abandon his socks in order to eat a treat. This takes two people to accomplish though — one to give Ted the treat and the other to scoop up the stolen socks when he’s distracted.
It could always be worse. My dog had a bra fetish for the longest time. He snuck them behind the couch, and when we needed to move furniture around to fir the Christmas tree in, I always felt like I went shopping. LOL!!!
You have such an adorable dog.

Hilarious. I have a bunch of mismatched socks. Now I’ve just started buying all the same color so I can afford to lose a few! 🐶
